Spurs are title favourites says Ranieri

Tottenham have been installed as the bookmakers’ favourites for the Premier League title for the first time this season after Leicester’s 2-2 draw with West Brom on Tuesday.

“The lads in the wall made it a bit easier for me because they didn’t let Kasper see the ball”, said Gardner, who is seizing his return to the team after two matches on the bench. We played much better than against Norwich (on Saturday). I am satisfied with the performance. “I want you to remember where we start”. “Against West Brom I know we didn’t get the three points but in the second half we were all over them and created a lot of chances”. We are alive and our spirit is ready to fight again. Only the victory was missing.

While Leicester and Spurs are locked in hot pursuit of the title, reigning champions Chelsea continued their revival under interim coach Guus Hiddink with a third successive league win – 2-1 over relegation-threatened Norwich City.

“Only for us it is important to keep our level, our fitness, our mentality and we’ll see what happens”. We always try the best in every situation. “All teams will lose points so we will continue, try to win the next game against Liverpool and go until the end”. They are very good on the counter-attack with (Salomon) Rondon, (Stephane) Sessegnon and (Saido) Berahino, and they are also very unsafe on the corner.

Craig Gardner curled in a 50th-minute free kick to deny Leicester a win that would have pushed the team provisionally five points clear ahead of games for title rivals Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester City on Wednesday.

“It has been brilliant, it is hard to put your finger on it at the moment because we haven’t actually achieved anything this season yet”, said King.

“We’ve got 11 games left, none of them are going to be easy, that’s for sure”, he said. Tonight we created a lot of chances but we drew the match.

The midfielder is a reliable barometer of how the pressure is being handled in the Foxes dressing room having been a fixture at the club since they were in the lower reaches of League One in 2007.

Leicester City goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer has told talkSPORT that the Foxes will not dwell on their failure to defeat West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday night.

“A long time ago when Forest actually got promoted from the Second Division to the First Division they won the league then. They are fantastic and never stop”.

Despite widespread thought Leicester would inevitably tail off as the season’s end grew nearer, Ranieri’s men already battled through a rough patch and emerged as strong in their lead as ever.
