Tottenham Hotspur will be at near full strength for this evening’s Europa League clash against Qarabag after naming a strong side.

After registering a ninth goal in his last six club games, Kane added: “We knew it was going to be a tough game away from home but I thought we created some good chances, especially in the second half, and we’re delighted to win and obviously get through as well”.

“As soon as we decide to play the game, we are all professional football players and even if it is everything but easy, we must deliver on the pitch”.

Son and Toby Alderweireld had deflected efforts saved by Ibrahim Sehic before Alli headed Christian Eriksen’s corner into the arms of the Qarabag goalkeeper.

The Qarabag manager, Gurban Gurbanov, said: “Of course we had opportunities to score”.

On the hour mark, Son unleashed a cracker from the edge of the box which clattered off the crossbar and 10 minutes later Alli’s far-post volley came back off the foot of the post.

Having sprung to life Tottenham looked the more likely to break the deadlock, and in the 78th minute they deservedly took the lead. We have a strong squad and a strong mentality, with the maturity.

Meanwhile, Chelsea managed to squeak out a 1-0 win over newly-promoted side Norwich City at the Stamford Bridge last Saturday to put a stop to their three-game losing slide, via SkySports.

Mauricio Pochettino has pleaded for help from the Premier League as he attempts to sustain Tottenham’s bid for domestic and European glory.

Sparta’s goal came rather earlier, Jakub Brabec scoring in the 33rd minute, but the Czechs had to play the last eight minutes with 10 men after the sending off of Ladislav Krejci.

Also through were Spaniards Villarreal courtesy of Viktoria Plzen’s 1-0 loss to Minsk.

Sporting CP kept themselves in with a chance of qualification with a 4-2 thrashing of Lokomotiv Moscow, moving up to just one point behind the Russian side as new group leaders Besiktas beat Skenderbeu Korce 2-0.
