Aldridge and the San Antonio Spurs won’t have to wait after completing a four-game sweep of the Memphis Grizzlies with a 116-95 triumph on Sunday.

So it’s not lost on the Griz that they need to bring all of those elements to Game 4 in their playoff series against the San Antonio Spurs to avoid being swept.

The game was delayed for 19 minutes when the lights went out with 10:02 left in the second quarter because of a voltage issue that knocked out power to parts of downtown Memphis for 15 minutes.

The Grizzlies really put up a commendable fight in Game 3 to keep it to single digits, but the Spurs now have their eyes on the series sweep and with a long playoff run ahead of them, I can’t see them taking this game too lightly. The Spurs made their push in the third quarter, led by Tony Parker, who scored nine of his 16 points as the Spurs rolled up 37 points in the third quarter and turned their two-point halftime deficit into an 18-point runaway.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) – The San Antonio Spurs have swept their way into the Western Conference semifinals after an nearly perfunctory, yet very physical test from the most injury-depleted team ever in the National Basketball Association playoffs.

While effective on the defensive end, the 40-year-old big man had a modest series from a statistical standpoint, averaging 5.8 points, 6.3 boards, 2.0 assists and 2.0 blocks over just 20.3 minutes per game.

San Antonio is trying to close out the best-of-seven series, which it leads 3-0. For a team that has made every opponent scratch and claw to beat them, it didn’t feel like an appropriate swan song. He helped the Spurs dominate Memphis in the paint, where they outrebounded the Grizzlies 41-36.

Isaiah Thomas had 28 points to lead the Celtics to a 104-95 win over the Hawks, who wasted a mammoth haul of 45 points and 13 rebounds from Paul Millsap.

The Grizzlies, who had an eight-game overall skid against San Antonio, had only ten players available in their lineup and the team’s head tactician is expected to stick with his starters in their upcoming game.

It’s a pretty safe bet to assume that the Golden State will get past the Rockets, but without Curry, the Warriors fall from overwhelming favorites to win their second-straight title to a team that the Cavs, Spurs and even the Oklahoma City Thunder actually have a good shot at beating.
