Kawhi Leonard added 13 points on 4-of-10, while LaMarcus Aldridge and Kevin Martin each chipped in 10 for San Antonio, who used tough defense to earn their second straight blowout of the playoffs. Aldridge sat out the entire fourth quarter along with Leonard and Tony Parker while Tim Duncan and Danny Green made brief appearances.

Now in a 0-1 hole, things do not look good as the Grizzlies go into Game 2 of this best of seven first round series.

Mills’ 3-pointer that bounced high off the back of the rim and then into the net with 0.7 seconds left in the period gave San Antonio its first double-digit advantage of the game and capped an 11-1 run over the last 3:30 of the quarter. With Zach Randolph struggling to the tune of six points on 3-of-13 shooting, 39-year-old Vince Carter and the enigmatic Lance Stephenson were the only two Grizzlies to score in double figures.

Game three will be held in Memphis on Saturday Morning (AEST). Online sports book Bovada.lv lists Gregg Popovich’s squad as an 18-point favorite, with an over/under total of 188 points.
