Harry Kane has opened talks on a bumper new contract at Spurs.

Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has offered his opinion on Tottenham and England star Harry Kane, when writing his column for the Times, explaining how he feels the 23-year-old has lost his edge, reported via the Evening Standard.

The England global signed a new deal with Spurs in February, which ties him to the club until 2021. Adding it all up, Kane will take home a little more than £35 million in total.

But according to the Mirror, it also has to do with the signing of Moussa Sissoko.

A weekly wage of £120,000 works out at £6.24m a year and, incredibly, £17,142.86 a day.

But he will become the highest-paid player at White Hart Lane as the forward looks to cement his future under boss Mauricio Pochettino.

In any event, Kane was always going to be next in line to receive proper compensation after being one of the best strikers in England the past two seasons since his breakthrough 2014-15 season.

Meanwhile the Mirror also says that midfielder Christian Eriksen is about to pen a new deal with the Lilywhites “that will see his money leap to £70,000-a-week”.

However, he is poised to commit to the club once more, with a massive wage increase coming his way.
