Spurs win at Watford, Arnautovic sinks Everton in thriller
Ighalo in the matchday 18 scored in Watford’s 2-2 draw away at Chelsea to become the first ever Watford player to score in five consecutive Premier League topflight games. It means Mauricio Pochettino’s side have registered back-to-back wins since their shock defeat at home to Newcastle two weeks ago and they now turn their attention to Monday’s match at Vicarage Road.

Watford defender Nathan Ake was sent off after Odion Ighalo had earlier cancelled out Erik Lamela’s opener but the Hornets hung on for the best part of half an hour before Son’s cute finish.
Watford had surpassed all expectations by climbing into the top 10 before the year was out. Spurs, on the other hand, have loftier ambitions. Many expected the newly promoted side to be languishing in the relegation area but they have proven everybody wrong with an exciting brand of football that has surprised fans and opponents alike.
The most prolific pairing in the league have combined to devastating effect and that might have been behind Pochettino’s thinking as he switched to a three-man defence. He played the ball between Eric Dier’s legs and poked it past Hugo Lloris.
The goal he scored here was a superb example of what he brings to the table.
The Hornets could even have felt themselves unfortunate as Ben Watson’s corner nearly crossed the line one minute before Son appeared to have strayed offside in the build-up to his goal.
On Ake’s red card, the Watford head coach said: “I had an unbelievable view but I do not like to criticise the performance of the referees”.
Spurs snatched a stunning late victor in a fiery encounter between two of the in-form teams in the league.

“There were a few chances to play in the Premier League, but I chose Watford because it was a very big project”, said Capoue.
