Square Enix Shares GamesCom 2015 Line-up, No New FFXV Build Will Be
Square Enix has announced its lineup for the big-time European show. The games so far known will be: Avalanche’s open-world action game Just Cause 3, MMO Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensword, Life is unusual, Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below, and the upcoming PC version of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will all be playable at their booth.

Square Enix’s main stage will be catered for Final Fantasy XV. Crossmap reports that during the expo, Square Enix’s statement; “Play it first on Play Station 4”, suggested its compatibility with other platforms. Final Fantasy XV is set to have a “number of exciting presentations” over the course of the event too, so JRPG fans can rest easy.
Hitman and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided won’t be playable at the show, however, with Square Enix instead planning to host hands-off demonstrations at its on-site cinema.
It seems that “many well known guests” will be present to discuss new details on the role-playing juggernaut. Such claim was even fuelled by a recent upload of the Final Fantasy 7 remake on Xbox One pre-orders. Christian Today reported that it will most likely be playable with Xbox One at some point as EB Games Australia assured a fan through Facebook which assured that though it was announced to be released for PS4, it will be made compatible with the existing Microsoft console.
Sony will not be present at Gamescom this year, but have announcements lined up for Paris Games Week in October.
