Sri Lanka likely venue for Indo-Pak series

With only a month’s window available after India finish their Test series against South Africa on December 7, the series is likely to be confined to three ODIs and two T20 Internationals instead of the original two Tests, five ODIs and two T20 Internationals, according to top BCCI sources.

“Even if you would have termed it as Pakistan’s home series in India, there could have been legal ramifications”, a senior BCCI official said on Tuesday. Subsequently, the chiefs of the two boards – Shashank Manohar and Shaharyar Khan met in Dubai on Sunday.

First, the much-awaited bilateral series between India and Pakistan was supposed to be held in UAE.

According to reports, Sri Lanka Cricket has said that the BCCI and the PCB have approached it to host the Indo-Pak series.
