SRK finds Facebook’s new app Mention ‘cool’

Viewers can comment on, like or share the video while watching a live broadcast, and see when friends or other public figures start watching. And for SRK, it is the most useful app to interact with his fans extensively in a Live Video format.

Facebook has launched a platform where your favorite artists can now go live and chat with their fans via video. Facebook has said that over a thousand celebrities are active on Mentions.

The app will put Facebook against Twitter, which recently bought the Periscope live streaming app, which allows everyone to broadcast.

Owen began the video by commenting on how exhausted he was, having been up early and traveling all day to reach a Salt Lake City hotel room with his tour manager Greg Fowler.

Facebook also announced that celebrities Dwayne The Rock Johnson, Serena Williams, Luke Bryan, Ricardo Kaka, Ashley Tisdale, Lester Holt, Martha Stewart and Michael Buble would be broadcasting videos via Mentions in the coming days.

The app has been designed to let the celebrities share a slice of their life, live with their fans.

Khan even interacted with his fans on Thursday and took them on the set of his movie via the app. Facebook has partnered with a few global celebrities to test and launch the feature the world over.

On the live stream, the incoming comments will be added at a steady readable pace. This application is presently available for top celebrities. “We want to get feedback from both public figures and viewers as we evolve the product”.
