A statement from Forbes said, “The 2015 Forbes India Celebrity 100 List rankings are based on two parameters: Estimates of entertainment-related earnings of celebrities and estimates of their fame”.
Forbes India the most popular business and the financial magazine have published the list of 100 celebrities based on their richness on the year 2015.
Akshay Kumar stands at no. six, while Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar notched seventh and eight positions respectively.
While the Forbes India Rich List focuses on net worth, the Celebrity 100 list is compiled by measuring money (earnings estimates) and fame.
Forbes India also revealed the celebrities earnings for the year 2015 and from that, Mahesh Babu earned whooping 51.5 crores for the year 2015.
All these amounts are estimated on pre-tax earnings.
Aamir has made it to the top five for the first time.

The list this year has also witnessed a few who have jumped up considerably higher in just one year. In celebrities’ incomes for 2015, Mahesh Babu placed at 13 positions and while fame wise he got a 36 position out of 100 top most Indian celebrities. Among the top 3 Celebrity 100 List rank gainers are Dhanush (who moved up 41 ranks) and is at Number 37, Rohit Sharma and Allu Arjun (both moved up 38 ranks) and are at Number 12 and Number 42 respectively.
