Staff Predictions: Dallas Cowboys vs Chicago Bears
At least the Cowboys are used to playing with their backup under center. “Dez has been great since I’ve gotten here and since his one catch last week to his catches this week”, said Prescott, who hasn’t thrown a touchdown pass but has a rushing TD. If Hoyer struggles and the Bears fall to 0-3 on the season, fans will still suggest that Hoyer starts the rest of the season as way for the Bears to embrace the tank.

As always, the defense is focused on generated more takeaways.
The Bears entered last Monday night’s game against the Eagles with only cornerback Kyle Fuller on their injury report. Brian Hoyer is set to start at quarterback and will do his best to jumpstart an offense that hasn’t had much to get excited about so far this year. Dallas and Chicago have gone OVER the total in their last five meetings. The Cowboys also have lost eight straight at AT&T Stadium.
Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, who is listed as doubtful to play Sunday night against the Cowboys because of a sprained right thumb, made the trip to Dallas.
The injury to Cutler hits the Bears no harder than the injuries to starting quarterbacks Teddy Bridgewater, Jimmy Garoppolo or Tony Romo hurt their respective teams. The first key is going to be, tracking Alshon.
Leonard Floyd maybe just a rookie, but he could give Free fits due to his length and speed. Dak Prescott’s ability to run may cause additional problems but bottom line, Vic Fangio’s defense has to make things uncomfortable in the pocket for the rookie. The Cowboys have to do a better job of affecting opposing quarterbacks in the pocket. He has been limited already as it is, having just three carries for seven yards behind starter Jeremy Langford.
There is absolutely nothing about the Bears secondary that leads me to believe that the Dallas Cowboys wide receivers shouldn’t be able to have a big game.
Goldman, the Bears’ starting nose tackle, also was injured in last week’s game. Dallas finished with a disappointing 4-12 record and Chicago didn’t do much better finishing last in the NFC North division at 6-10. Chicago getting behind in games didn’t help.
Rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott should scare the heck out of you, but, again, through two games, he’s averaging 3.3 yards on 41 carries with two TDs and two costly fumbles to match.
For all the talent they lack on defense, Dallas certainly makes up for it on the other side of the ball.

Below are the matchups that I think the Dallas Cowboys need to win in order to come away with a victory Sunday night.
