Standoff over, suspect in custody in Rehoboth
A man is in custody after a 5-hour standoff at a convenience store in Rehoboth Thursday morning, according to authorities.

Police evacuated nearby businesses and called in a regional SWAT and negotiation team as well as additional officers from surrounding towns.
Police blocked off the area and established a perimeter.
Ultimately, Kimball tried to flee after using his vehicle to ram into police vehicles.
“Most likely he did this to make people aware that the mental health system is screwed up”.
Just before noon, officers used a flash grenade and beanbag bullets and were then able to take him into custody after he rammed his auto into armored vehicles.
A Cumberland Farms was evacuated Thursday morning after a man threatened to harm a store employee, a Cumberland Farms official told FOX25.
No employees or customers were inside the store during the standoff and the gas pumps were turned off.
It happened just before 7 a.m.at the Cumberland Farms on Winthrop Street in Rehoboth.
