Standout Features Of The All-New Samsung Galaxy S7

When you’re done shooting, the Galaxy S7 will automatically stitch everything together to make a single 360 photo or movie.

This is an interesting offer from Samsung, especially as we expect also on top of the free Gear VR, that carriers will have additional incentives to buy the new Galaxy S7 on their network. AT&T is also going to include built in Direct TV integration with its release of the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge devices, respectively.

Sales of the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will begin around mid-March, Samsung added.

The new all-metal S7 design that was introduced on last year’s S6 continues, with the Edge remaining the only phone with a curved screen on both sides of the device.

Samsung believes users are taking smartphones for granted.

Gear VR users on Galaxy S7 will benefit from improved power among other things, though items such as positional tracking are still yet to be implemented into the HMD.

Telstra’s Director of Devices, Andrew Volard said the new smartphones were set to be a hit with Australians.

The company is also touting larger batteries on the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge.

LG will also have its own VR headset and 360-degree camera, while the main camera on its upcoming G5 smartphone will have two lenses – one for standard shots, and another with a wider angle to capture more of what’s in front of you.

Both phones will be available March 11 with pre-orders beginning February 23.

However, the two most notable features are water resistance and expandable memory. Unlike the S6 and the S6 Edge, the new Galaxy phones are waterproof and come with support for a microSD card of up to 128GB.

The phones have a 12MP camera that can take better photos in light and dark conditions.

Both handsets are available in Black Onyx and Gold Platinum color options.

Unfortunately, the Gear 360 is not included in the Galaxy S7 pre-order package.

Samsung shipped 81.3 million phones during the quarter, compared to the 74.8 million shipped by Apple, according to the research firm Strategy Analytics.
