Justin Timberlake generally isn’t associated with country music, but on Wednesday the singer became an honorary member of the country community.

Timberlake revealed the news by posting a picture to Twitter, showing him rehearsing with Stapleton. Stapleton is also nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year. Honored to share the stage with this BADASS.

Later in the evening, the “Suit & Tie” singer, 34, jammed out with singer Chris Stapleton on his hit “Tennessee Whiskey” and Timberlake’s song “Drink You Away”, as Biel grooved with the crowd.

On Timberlake’s other side were country legends Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood.

“[Justin Timberlake] is obviously one of the greatest musical talents in the world, maybe ever, that we have”. “So I called him up and asked him if he’d be interested in doing it and he was like, ‘Yeah man, I’m in”. Positive, Timberlake is pop, still there’s nothing more country than two Tennessee boys singing about booze with guitars in hand.
