Star Trek 50: Facebook Releases Star Trek Emoji, But Not For Everyone
In 2009, J.J. Abrams rebooted the franchise; the third film in that new series, “Star Trek Beyond”, was released this year.

Stamps include the Starship Enterprise inside the outline of a Starfleet insignia against a gold background, the silhouette of a crewman in a transporter against a red background, the silhouette of the Enterprise from above against a green background, and the Enterprise inside the outline of the Vulcan salute (Spock’s iconic hand gesture) against a blue background.

“Star Trek'” showed a utopian future for the universe in which a cast of worldwide fictional characters, including Americans working side-by-side with Russian and Japanese characters in the middle of the Cold War, featured exploration rather than fighting, as well as peace between not only the people of earth and aliens, like the Vulcan character Spock, but also among races on Earth itself.
