“I know how old I feel, so the idea that this thing endures is incredible”.

The original “Trek” program starred the legendary pairing of William Shatner as Captain James T. Kirk and Leonard Nimoy as Spock.
Creator Gene Roddenberry pitched his show to NBC as a “Wagon Train” to the stars, but his hopeful view of the future delighted viewers. A new “Trek” TV series is on the way from CBS and scheduled to debut in 2017. Clips from that original pilot, “The Cage”, is shown in Spock’s court-martial after he kidnaps Fleet Capt. Christopher Pike, hijacks the Enterprise, and directs it toward a forbidden planet. This tribute video features footage from Star Trek features films, showcasing the original cast, The Next Generation cast, and the cast of the Kelvin Timeline. “This, too, shall pass, and we hopefully learn from our mistakes”.
Users in the U.S. and Canada who have expressed interest in Star Trek by liking the official page or related content may see a personalised greeting on their news feed which offers a custom profile frame.
Starting with “Star Trek: The Motion Picture, “in 1979, the franchise has now spanned almost four decades and a total of 13 films and multiple television versions, including “Star Trek: The Next Generation” and “Star Trek: Voyager“. It’s a good cultural product, in my opinion.
Although the basic concept for a tablet can be traced back to 1888 and an Elisha Gray patent for an electrical stylus device for capturing handwriting, it is Star Trek which brought it into the minds of the general public.
The movie follows the exploits of four astronauts – one of whom is an animatronic marionette resembling Kirk – who travel to the moon to rescue missing comrades.
After that, you can watch Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987-1994); Deep Space Nine (1993-1999); Voyager (1995-2001); and Enterprise (2001-2005). Conventions are held around the world each year for the shows and films, and many actors have made appearances on one of the franchise’s shows or movies (Kirstie Alley, Ashley Judd, Tom Hardy, Christian Slater, Seth MacFarlane and Christopher Lloyd, just to name a few).
