Star Trek Beyond trailer thrills fans

The first trailer released in December 2015 was widely criticized by critics and fans alike. Nimoy’s family was on hand also. As a result, it’s up to Captain Kirk to save his friends, something which should push the character to his limits. It’s. pretty good! Better than the first one, I think.

The action-packed, fast-paced “Star Trek Beyond” trailer truly shows how much influence “Fast & Furious” director Justin Lin (who is taking over from director J.J. Abrams) has on the tone of this summer’s Star Trek film. Sofia Boutella also plays an alien named Jaylah, who’ll side with the crew of the Enterprise. “There’s only yourself, your ship, your crew”. We’re fairly confident that when the movie is released in July we’ll see plenty more of Dubai too – but judging from the CGI in the trailer, we probably won’t be seeing any dreamy lingering shots of the Burj Khalifa or Burj Al Arab.

Beyond the footage, there were lots of surprises for the crowd.

In addition the unveiling of a new trailer and scenes from the film, director Justin Lin, producer J.J. Abrams, and stars Zachary Quinto, Chris Pine, and Karl Urban were all in attendance to discuss Beyond and the history of the franchise.

The studio behind the upcoming new Star Trek film, Star Trek Beyond, have released the latest trailer for the film in front of a select group of hard-core Trekkies in Los Angeles. But now he is going back to bigger budget films. The fans, after all, are the ones who saved Star Trek all those years ago with their letter-writing campaign in the “60s”. Start each morning with a reminder to explore new worlds – or at least get to work on time. Now, the Star Trek Beyond trailer has made its way online and you can check it out in the player below!

It all culminated in a party on the soundstage, where the (great) new uniforms from Beyond, props, “beaming stations”, a turbolift set and more were on display.
