Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens Black Series Han Solo Announced

We’re looking for people of all ages from those who grew up with the original trilogy starting in 1977 before the special editions were released (and rereleased) to younger fans who joined the rebellion years later. One exception: the trackpad design of a Death Star corridor, which recalls its explosive defeat… but it looks very cool, all the same.

Preorders for the HP Star Wars Special Edition Notebook opens on Oct. 8 and will ship the following month. “The touchpad design mirrors the X-Wing Star Fighter Guidance System and the red backlit keyboard completes the dark-side design”, says HP. The agreement also includes cult pics from the Star Wars franchise.

The line-up of events spans Star Wars-themed games and activities, various author-related signings, meet-and-greets, panels, and readings at bookstores, libraries and other venues across the country in an effort to promote literacy.

The laptop also comes with a Star Wars Command Center, where users can choose between thousands of Star Wars wallpapers and screen savers. Aside from the overall theme, the computer itself is a refreshed version of the HP Pavilion series. Boot up the machine and you’ll see that even the standard Recycle Bin has been replaced with a Death Star icon. “We are sure Canal+ audiences in France will thoroughly enjoy a greater variety of Disney’s much loved characters and gripping, emotive storytelling wherever, however and whenever they wish, across a portfolio of programming that includes a fantastic slate of feature films and television series”. Boasting up to 7 hours of battery life, it will not be powered by midichlorians, but will have a choice of 6th generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors. On the higher end you can get up to 12GB of RAM and 2TB of hard drive, with the option to add an NVIDIA GeFore 940M graphics chip. It has a 15.6-inch display, and making it 1080p and a touchscreen seems to be optional. The speakers for the laptop were provided by the Danish audio company Bang & Olufsen.
