‘Star Wars’ actor Peter Mayhew to meet ‘Chewbacca Mom’
She’s having a whirlwind of a time after Candace Payne’s video went viral all over the internet. The clip has already racked up 140 million views on the social media site.

As delightful as this viral video is, there has been one major drawback since it hit the Web.
“You want to see what I got?”
That said, this actually isn’t Payne’s first brush with Hollywood.
After a whirlwind couple of days, Payne summed up the experience on “Good Morning America”, saying the best part about it is “being able to share joy with people”. “Still rejoicing in my birthday”.
In the video, the 37-year-old mom laughs hysterically, while the mask, which she admits was purchased for her son but she intends to keep, makes the noise the hairy character is so famous for. In a way, she also said that it was her way of telling her kids that the mask was hers and not theirs. “And I’m like, ‘I didn’t buy it for you, little kids”, she added.
‘Worth every penny!’ she cackles.
She’s starred on nationwide TV with James Corden on The Late, Late Show and taken part in his carpool karaoke, when the presenter drives her to work with a special guest in the auto.
The camera cuts to a wide shot again revealing Star Wars director J.J. Abrams in the back seat.
“I have got to get to work, is there any way we can leave now”, inquires Corden. “He was like, ‘Mom, I really don’t get a mask?'” I thought Chewbacca’s found his joy!
With that, not even Corden can’t continue his annoyed and grump act, bursting into laughter and sharing in the fun.
James had yet another shock up his sleeve for Candace, she’s going to meet Chewbacca himself, Peter Mayhew in two weeks time. All three ended up wearing Chewbacca masks and laughing it up.
She told James that they only reason she had made the video was to prove to her friends and family that the mask was hers – before her children claimed it for their own.
“Everyone should have a mask like this and a mirror”, Candace wrote on Facebook. “I love you, but this isn’t for you”. I have acquired four VIP passes for you and your family to come to the show.
