“Carrie was my friend. I bet she gets to wear a bra, even though you told me I couldn’t, because there is no underwear in space!” Her mother tweeted on Sunday that “Carrie is in stable condition”. She had performed the show across the country since 2006.

The actress said she had become friends with Ford’s second wife but had barely discussed the affair with Ford since. “I am very, very sad”.

“I don’t want my life to imitate art, I want my life to be art”.

Fisher had shared the same photo days earlier on December 19, writing on Twitter in her own unique voice: “Sharon Horgan & I pretending we like each other while filming Catastrophe in London.Succeeding!” She passed away at UCLA Medical Center on Tuesday, at the age of 60.

“You don’t have to like doing a lot of what you do; you just have to do it”, Fisher responded.

Fisher’s famous “Star Wars” character features as part of the storyline to spin-off “Rogue One”, which is now riding high in box offices around the globe, although the actress is understood not to have been involved in the production.

Earlier this year, ET spoke with Horgan about the chances of moving Catastrophe from its United Kingdom setting to the USA, as well as Fisher’s pivotal role on the show. She grew up among many famous people. She was flawed and fabulous, the type of woman those of us who might feel a little out of place aspired to be.

“It actually has been thought out and it has integrity and they took it seriously, which they didn’t have to do, you know?”

Fisher also wrote an advice column for The Guardian, giving her final bit of advice just last month, to a reader who wrote asking how to deal with a bipolar disorder diagnosis. “When two celebrities mate, something like me is the result”, she said in the show. “I really relished that because I hated wearing that outfit and sitting there rigid straight, and I couldn’t wait to kill him”.

The comic actor Tina Fey also paid tribute.
