Every film has to go through the reshoot process, it’s a normal part of filming, so Star Wars fans shouldn’t be anxious about Star Wars: Episode VIII…not yet, anyway.

Recently, Lupita Nyong’o, who plays the wizened, friendly alien Maz Kanata, revealed the surprising news that she hadn’t yet gotten in the ping-pong ball suit for Star Wars: Episode VIII.
Both Nyong’o and DeGeneres showed off their “sexy faces” on the show as they continued to talk about Nyong’o’s Vogue shoot which also featured her 96-year-old grandmother.
Nyong’o sat down with DeGeneres who said that the star had won her first Oscar for the first film she ever starred in and continues to grace the cover of Vogue quite frequently. “It hurt my feelings”.
Lupita Nyong’o says you can expect to see her again in the galaxy far, far away. “All she cares about is that I spend time with her”, Nyong’o responded sweetly.
During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the 12 Years A Slave Oscar victor said ‘ I don’t know where this rumor came from. So, it’s always, ‘Fingers crossed!’ ‘But as far as I know, I’m in it’.
The rumor came from an interview Nyong’o had with website Collider, where she said she had yet to work with Rian Johnson or film her scenes.
“It’s similar to howThe Empire Strikes Back has a different tone”, Driver said.

Star Wars: Episode VIII arrives in theaters in December 2017. It’s just different in tone in a way that I think is great and necessary but also very clear.
