Star Wars Celebration 2016: Warwick Davis Confirmed for Rogue One

Actress Felicity Jones, as Resistance fighter Jyn Erson, figures heavily in the new video and in “Rogue One”, in which rebels are on a mission to steal the plans for the Death Star.

Gwendoline Christie, who plays Captain Phasma in ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ moderated a cast and crew panel, where the question of the opening crawl was posed.

“Chewie, we’re home…’ happened, Harrison Ford and Peter Mayhew appeared in the final seconds of the new trailer, John Williams” score crashed against the jubilant crowds and all was well.

A trailer for Star Wars Battlefront Death Star was revealed today at EA’s Star Wars Games panel at Star Wars Celebration today.

“Star Wars: Rogue One” may not feature the iconic opening crawl. The events of Rogue One take place in between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope.

EA participated in Star Wars Celebration Europe in London, and sent DICE’s Design Director, Niklas Fegreaus, to represent Star Wars: Battlefront. Being the first-ever Star Wars “story” film, Lucasfilm is looking at taking a different approach to Rogue One as it relates to the opening sequence.

Rogue One is scheduled for release on December 16, and has an fantastic cast, including Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Forest Whittaker, Ben Mendelsohn, Diego Luna, Jiang Wen, and Donnie Yen.

The Death Star expansion pack is expected to be released sometime this fall.

Last Thursday DICE revealed that Star Wars Battlefront’s Death Star expansion will launch in September, and that it’ll include a “larger-than-life character” that fans have requested for a long time.
