Star Wars: Coventry cinemas ban lightsabers and Darth Vader masks

Crews are setting up a tent spanning four city blocks on L.A.’s Hollywood Boulevard for the world premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens Dec. 14. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk are producing with Tommy Harper and Jason McGatlin serving as executive producers.

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” stars John Boyega, Adam Driver and Daisy Ridley, along with Director JJ Adams, went to Seoul, South Korea to promote the upcoming film.

The Walt Disney Company took over the “Star Wars” franchise from its creator, George Lucas, when it acquired Lucasfilm for billion in 2012.

And the United Kingdom, where the movie premieres on Wednesday, has also gone Star Wars insane with a host of events around the country. Unlike the prequel films in the Star Wars saga, the Han Solo standalone won’t delve too far into the character’s past, instead portraying him in either his late teens or early 20s, according to Kennedy.

Some are making the 18,000-km (11,200-mile) round trip from Los Angeles in one day, taking a bus from Charles de Gaulle airport outside Paris to a nearby cinema to see the movie, before returning to the U.S. the same evening. There is also no escaping The Force in grocery stores, cosmetic shops, restaurants, ice cream stands – and just about anywhere else. The said theater was one of more then 30 venues in the United States where the original fim was released in May 1977.

“The Force Awakens” opens Friday.

She explained: “I knew it was popular but I didn’t realise how much people love it”.

But aside from those less-than-great parts, this sketch really did have me going back to the nostalgia of what it was like to get toys and action figures for Christmas for the sole objective of playing and having fun.

British cinema chiefs expect up to a million customers to see the film in the 48 hours after the premiere in London’s Leicester Square.

When first he was asked about the film, he resisted to reveal the details.

The premiere’s red carpet kicked off with Stormtroopers marching and droids rolling past cameras before the film’s stars arrived. “I wish I could”, he said.
