‘Star Wars’ expected to crush second weekend record
In a dig so strangely specific that we’re starting to wonder whether Ranzato was at some point in the running to direct the picture himself, he adds that the film is “not a classy reboot however, like Christopher Nolan’s Batman, but an update twisted to suit today’s tastes and a public more accustomed to sitting in front of a computer than in a cinema”.

But Star Wars fans will have to brace themselves for another long wait until they can watch Star Wars in the comfort of their own home and watch The Force Awakens on DVD. It means the actor’s share could be worth $14 million.
Disney has an estimated $350 million advertising budget for Star Wars, and Sensor Tower reveals a major increase in advertising from the top three Star Wars apps during the premiere weekend on Facebook.
With a North American haul of $325.4 million, “The Force Awakens” has now out-paced “Jurassic World” as the fastest film to cross $300 million, accomplishing in five days what it took the other film to achieve in eight. The previous record holder, The Amazing Spider-Man, made $35 million. It’s insane to think of just how big Episode VII might actually become. The question is, will it now best the top dogs Avatar (currently the highest grossing movie) and Titanic (the second highest)?
Considering the film is breaking box office records, this bad review probably won’t make or break anything.

So hang tight because it seems like we’ll be keeping track of this trajectory in the weeks ahead.
