‘Star Wars’ producer confirms Jar Jar Binks is not in ‘Force Awakens’

We’re less than two week from release, and still hardly anyone outside of J.J. Abrams’ team and the higher-ups at Disney have actually seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Captain America: Civil War and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice already unveiled trailers that will premiere in theaters before the new Star Wars film, and X-Men: Apocalypse has its first wide trailer attached to it as well.

Kennedy told reporters, referring to the unpopular character from “The Phantom Menace”.

Portrayed by Daisy Ridley, the mysterious female protagonist of The Force Awakens looks damn spectacular in Hot Toys form.

Nyong’o clammed up when asked why her character appeared smaller than diminutive droid R2-D2 in film posters.

“Jar Jar is not in the movie”, Kennedy said, a response that Entertainment Weekly says elicited “hoots from the audience”.

While the film has been cloaked in an unparalleled level of secrecy, Ford guaranteed that fans can expect the same Solo they fell in love with from the original “Star Wars” trilogy.

“Jar Jar is definitely not in the movie”, she said, according to People. The leather bracers and satchel help to add more authenticity, and the headwrap she dons in the big trailer while investigating the ruins of the Star Destroyer Inflictor is a nice inclusion.

Kylo Ren is not your ordinary villain who is out for destruction for his own sake because his characterization is more three dimensional.

Most interestingly, we get one of our very first on screen looks at Lupita Nyong’o’s completely CGI character, Maz Kanata, in a promo clip from Disney channel Disney XD. “I couldn’t care less”, he said. “It just feels like another project”.

For those who may be concerned, you will not see Jar Jar Binks in The Force Awakens, a fact that Director J.J. Abrams himself revealed.

When speaking about “Star Wars”, there are few topics that inspire a twinkle in Harrison Ford’s eyes.

Those “Star Wars” projects could be for the episodes in the saga following “Episode VII: The Force Awakens”, which opens on December 18, or the franchise’s anthology films.
