As for the playable heroes, the Trandoshan bounty hunter Bossk will be available for the Imperial side, and the mighty Wookiee Chewbacca will be playable for the heroes.

Whether you’ve been a devoted member of the Star Wars fandom since forever, or the two words make you cringe in nerd-fearing horror, you can’t NOT be impressed by the scenes at this weekend’s Star Wars Celebration event. Star Wars Battlefront will get a Rogue One expansion pack bringing elements from the upcoming Star Wars spin-off to the game.

It’s a little odd that the creative team behind Battlefront made a decision to skip over TFA entirely (though there is a map from Jakku), but the new Rogue One DLC will no doubt capitalize on a lot of consumers’ interest in the Star Wars franchise, and obviously in particular, Rogue One.

“Today we’re excited to officially announce a new mode, Skirmish, for all Star Wars Battlefront players”. Apparently you’ll even be able to recreate the iconic climax of A New Hope by flying through the Death Star trench, which should be pretty spectacular. Let us know what you think of the trailer in the comments!
