Following news that the film would be more of a violent war story, new details suggest one of the franchise’s most important characters will play a part in the spinoff. After all, those Death Star plans were important to him in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. Vader factors in once he realizes that the plans have been stolen, so he joins the hunt in a supporting role and is none too pleased. James Earl Jones recently reprised his voice role as Darth Vader for a short scene in season one of Star Wars Rebels, and will do so again for a significant portion of season two.
