Kelly Andrews, who wears her love of “Star Wars” on her skin in the form of Yoda and R2-D2 tattoos, bought tickets in October for the first showing at Hollywood’s classic TCL Chinese Theatre, where the original “Star Wars” premiered in 1977.
As we all know by now, Kylo Ren is actually named Ben Solo and is the son of Han and Leia. “I was jumping out of my seat the whole time”, said Brian Coria, movie goer.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the seventh installment of the Star Wars franchise.
Savannah Schafer of Charleston said the film had good and bad moments, but it was never boring.
Online ticket seller Fandango said on Thursday that the new movie, which has received glowing reviews, has already broken its record for the most tickets sold for any film’s entire theatrical run.
But The Associated Press reported earlier today that the film has earned more than $100 million in presale tickets in North America. No masks, face paint and simulated weapons are allowed into the theater.
But some analysts believe the opening weekend sales of this Star Wars film to be as much as $240 million dollars.
“Well we look to have at least a 25% increase over this weekend”, said Chuck Burnum, manager, O’Cleary’s.

“It’s definitely worth all the hype”, he said.
