Gareth Edwards will be working on Rogue One, set for a 2016 release; Rian Johnson on Episode VIII, set for a 2017 release; and Colin Trevorrow on Episode IX, set for a 2019 release.

Harrison Ford never expected to reprise his role as Han Solo in a Star Wars film and said it was an “absolute pleasure” to play the part again. “Yes, I was in Star Wars”, you might think.

But the coolest thing may be that we get more Millennium Falcon than the previous teasers, trailers and promos.

The “Star Wars” director/co-writer credited DuVernay’s directorial work on “Selma” as a testament to her story-telling abilities.

Boyega also discussed how he has engaged with fans, and how previous Star Wars movies were released in an era before social media.

“It’s a movie. Donald, it was a movie”, Ford says directly to the camera.

“(He brings) His own sensibility, his own craft, his own understanding of what the original films were important for, and his own experience as a young person watching them”, he said.

“It is definitely in the genre thinking but Star Wars is very different than Marvel in that they basically build their stories around characters, and then they seed those characters in different stories”.

With only a week to go until Star Wars: The Force Awakens finally opens, the avalanche of trailers and teasers shows no signs of stopping.
