Star Wars: The Force Awakens gets PG-13 rating in the US

Han Solo is back at it in the latest TV spot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens and he’s blasting while joining the fight.

According to FilmRatings.com, the most recent release of film ratings from the Motion Picture Association of America, Inc., Star Wars The Force Awakens is rated PG-13 “for sci-fi action violence”.

Abrams also revealed that the movie is almost done, and that the only thing left to do is “a couple more color correction things to do”, and saying “I can’t tell you the relief I feel” after finally completing what has been a “nerve-racking” multi-year process.

ET was with Boyega earlier this month, where he talked about sitting in on a Force Awakens scoring session with legendary music composer John Williams. This rating shouldn’t come as a surprise as most of JJ Abrams’s films have the same rating.

“I know all about waiting…”

This is of course atrocious, but that’s kind of the point: The idea that women should need this kind of marketing in order to care about Star Wars is laughable. “I have that as a large part of the association with my identity”.

Up next is Oscar Isaac as dashing Rebel X-wing fighter pilot Poe Dameron, followed by Adam Driver as the movie’s villainous Kylo Ren, from The First Order.

In fact, he chose to keep the job a secret from his wife – something which was blown when J.J. assumed he’d told her and announced the news in the press.

“‘Awaken the Force Within’ is a global creative and technology collaboration between Google and Disney in celebration of the upcoming film set to open in theaters on December 18th”, says a press statement by Google.
