Star Wars: The Force Awakens Is Making Christmas Day Box Office History
Disney’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens continued to steamroll at the box office with its Wednesday box office this morning now projected between $37.9M-$38.2M, which is +1% from yesterday. The film has also shattered the records of Jurassic World, which released earlier this year.

The Force Awakens made nearly $40 million around the world on Wednesday, closing with $400.4 million that day. The first two are Jurassic World and Avengers: Age of Ultron with $652.3 and $459 million. Unfortunately, we won’t have any sort of confirmation for a very, very long time, but while we wait, why not check out the photos below and let us know in the comments section if you would have liked to have seen Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Even if it had Avatar level drops, making an unprecedented $242 million in its second weekend, and continued to make around $35 million each non-weekend day, with global earnings contributing 55 percent of its total gross, it would stand at $1.49 billion, again just short of Jurassic World’s final worldwide gross. “The Force Awakens” is already the 22nd highest domestic grosser of all time, topping such hits as “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2” ($381 million), “Finding Nemo” ($380.eight million) & “Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith” ($380.three million).
Star Wars is everywhere, with its actors on magazine covers and merchandise being sold around the world.
The power of “Star Wars” meant the rest of the week’s releases were competing for second place. The franchise also has a video game, which debuted last month. “He has made an adoring copy of ‘Star Wars, ‘ seeking to correct its perceived flaws, without understanding that nothing about that movie’s context or meaning or enormous cultural impact can be duplicated”.

Many predicted that The Force Awakens would have big numbers during its opening and following weeks but the film had a bigger start. What do you think about this film?
