LOS ANGELES (AP) — Hollywood is preparing for what could be the largest movie premiere in its history on Monday night when the hugely anticipated “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is screened for VIP audiences in three separate theaters amid tight security.

“One person tweeted: “‘It’s a movie, Donald, it was a movie.’ #HarrisonFord… Fans are coming out in full force, camping out to see the premiere but also to raise money for the Starlight Children’s Foundation, and they’ve been there since 12 days before the premiere.

From Disneyland to private parties, “Star Wars” is taking over dessert tables and snack time across the nation as the opening of the next film in the saga, “The Force Awakens”, draws near.

Also look for “Force Awakens” items at restaurants, jewelry stores and even in the theaters where you will be seeing the movie.

“From what people have seen of the film so far, it’s going to be good”, Gail said.

A Star Wars fan and toy collector named Justin Koziesk bought the Star Wars: The Force Awakens toy, apparently for less than $7, and after sharing his find to the “Star Wars Action News” Facebook page on December 8, all heck broke loose over the photos of the toy. Another report from a Walmart customer claims that the full wave of Star Wars: The Force Awakens toys have been found in Florida, too.

In Turkey, fans religious devotion to the franchise has taken a more political turn, with almost 9,000 signing a petition demanding a Jedi temple at the Dokuz Eylul University in the western city of Izmir.

The wide reach of the iconic space epic is clearly reflected in the $4.4 billion it has generated in worldwide ticket sales since it began in 1977, according to tracker website Box Office Mojo. “It’s not something I pictured ever so it’s a very odd thing, very odd”, Ridley said. After watching the first six movies next week, they’ll view the new film over and over again until one megafan is left standing.
