Star Wars – The Force Awakens releases in India today
The movie ticket service Fandango said it has already sold more tickets for “Force Awakens” than any movie over its entire theatrical run.

Though the Star Wars movies have generally presented epic battles between good and evil, the Vatican’s daily newspaper, L’Osservatore Romano, apparently thinks the latest film’s villains are not evil enough, the Los Angeles Times reported. As much as I hate to see anything dethrone my all-time favourite movie, I think so!
Though a fantastic number yesterday for Force Awakens, it’s not a record, rather the fifth best Wednesday of all-time. Force Awakens counts a little over $363M stateside and non-Disney analysts project that the film will cross $500M on Sunday at the domestic B.O., making it the fastest to do so in 10 days (Thursday’s $57M previews are counted in Friday’s gross), annihilating Jurassic World’s 17-day record past that point. That record should fall as The Force Awakens is expected to gross $120M.
The new cast members are absolutely fantastic. The film has been a success with both fans and critics alike. Oscar Isaac is also excellent as Poe Dameron, and I just wish we had seen even more of him here.
Looper director Rian Johnson is on board to direct Episode VIII. Speaking of which, it’s to Abrams’ credit that he’s made the Stormtroopers scary again.
Star Wars fans can embark on that much-awaited journey to a galaxy far, far away with this must-have collectible.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens Official Movie Special-with bonus character and concept art poster collectibles-is now available at bookstores and newsstands nationwide for only P175. It sounds like there won’t be any content from the new movie sadly.
