‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ smashes presale records
The Force Awakes has broken the all-time record for selling the most pre-sale cinema tickets in its first day on sale. Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver and Oscar Isaac are also in the cast.

Tickets for the “The Force Awakens”, out December 18, went on sale earlier Monday, causing sites like Fandango and MovieTickets.com to experience intermittent crashes as a result of demand. I watched both the trailer and the game last night, and the trailer was by far the most exciting part of that telecast.
On Tuesday afternoon, AMC reported that it still had 4 million tickets available for opening weekend, including showings in IMAX, 3D and Dolby Cinema at AMC Prime and AMC Dine-in Theatres.
