‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Uses Chewbacca and BB-8 to Promote Verizon

Check out the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens ad below because even though it doesn’t contain any new footage from the film, we are all powerless to BB-8’s cuteness.

According to Collider, the official runtime for one of the most anticipated movies of all time is clocking in at 135 minutes, or two hours and fifteen minutes.

It’s been a busy week for Star Wars, filled with new footage, photos and plenty of details on the new cast of characters, but we probably won’t hear a whole lot more before the film hits theaters – which is a good thing. Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan.

The high-octane advertisement gives a peek at Rey’s home, the devastating impact of the First Order, and just who might be the next to pilot the Millenium Falcon. One of the concept images that Carter’s crew produced during this time as an “image of a Nuremberg-esque rally for the new legion of evil, the First Order”. Apparently Abrams saw the design and part of his new direction with Kasdan was to build a story around the gathering. While it contains no weaponry, the grill is actually from a vintage 1922 Aston Martin, which art director Gary Tomkins spotted while visiting a United Kingdom event known as the Goodwood Revival, which features a number of classic cars. Carter reveals very little, “It’s more than just a rally, but I won’t say more than that”.

While we have heard a number of details regarding the Kylo Ren, we haven’t heard much from the actor portraying him, Adam Driver. The gargantuan lair where Darth Vader and the Empire did their misdeeds was so imposing that it instantly became shorthand for any evildoer’s abode.
