Star Wars-themed lands coming to Disneyland

Star Wars fans will soon be able to take control of Han Solo’s Millennium Falcon space craft and fight in a battle.

From a galaxy far, far away, Star Wars is being transported to California and Florida after Disney announced it was developing two Star Wars Lands at its theme parks.
Toy Story land and Star Wars land are opening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios as announced by Disney CEO at the D23 event.
According to marketwatch.com, each park will have 14 acres and will feature attractions with Star Wars creatures and designs.
Though it was met with skepticism when it went down in 2012, Disney’s acquisition of the Star Wars franchise has proven to be extremely fruitful.
Star Wars: Episode IX will be directed by Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow. “It goes into new territory, exploring the galactic struggle from a ground-war perspective while maintaining that essential “Star Wars’ feel that fans have come to know”.

Apart from battle experience, visitors will have the chance to slip into the infamous Chalmun’s Cantina (otherwise known as Mos Eisley Cantina) and have a sip or two of the tavern’s refreshments served by wild creatures seen in the movies.
