‘Star Wars’ TV series in works?

For years, George Lucas teased fans about a Star Wars live-action TV series.
ABC Entertainment has hinted at the possibility of bringing a new Star Wars television series to the network.
While Dungey was being asked about a series on ABC specifically, it should be noted there are other options for ABC, on the studio side, beyond their own network.
Speaking at the Television Critics Association’s press tour on Thursday, Dungey admitted that talks were “ongoing”. And prior to that, Lucasfilm producer Rick McCallum enlisted Battlestar Galactica writer Ron Moore to produce 50 scripts to add to the almost 40-year-old franchise.
After an impressively tiresome season spent watching Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher pick which identical hair-swoop to marry (her pick: the douchiest one!), now, more than ever, it seems like The Bachelor franchise is due for a shake-up.
The follow-up to The Force Awakens, Star Wars: Episode VIII, is now filming and is scheduled for release on December 15, 2017.
