Starbucks brews up new latte

The inspiration for the latte comes from something many of us love – the sweet milk that is left over when you finish a bowl of cereal.

Starbucks first tested the order, pay ahead system in Portland previous year, and later expanded it to 3,400 of its company-owned locations. The official statement describes it as “an espresso beverage with steamed milk, flavors of graham and sweet cream and finished with a sprinkling of cinnamon graham crumbles”.

An estimated pick-up time lets coffee drinkers know when their beverage should be ready so they can time their pick-up for when it’s at its freshest.

Secondly, the sweetness factor is more subtle than its pumpkin spice cousin.

Mashable reported the drink tasted like honey graham crackers soaked in warm milk, which is how Starbucks created the flavor. Thus, it’s the flawlessfall fix for coffee lovers looking to get into the seasonal spirit without losing the taste of espresso. Luckily, for you, we don’t mind being the guinea pigs, so we tried it out.

A 12-ounce Toasted Graham Latte with 2% milk has 230 calories, 7 grams of fat and 31 grams of sugar, according to the company’s website.

The beverage will be available through the end of October or until supplies last.

To top it all off, we can now indulge in the delightful TGL without waiting in line thanks to mobile ordering.
