Starbucks planning to add 12000 new outlets around the world
Schultz stressed again Wednesday that he wasn’t departing Starbucks, and that he plans to oversee the growth of its high-end stores, called Starbucks Reserve Roasteries.

Those more curated experiences include the unveiling of at least 1,000 Starbucks Reserve stores, featuring varied brewing methods and artisanal foods created by its new Italian food partner Princi. The-63 year old Mr. Schultz is well recognized for his efforts that saw Starbucks grow leaps-and-bounds from start-up to the world’s famous coffee chain.
The Seattle-construct organization is centering with respect to both its leader Starbucks stores and the higher-end Reserve Roastery and Tasting Room outlets for the future development.
Right before Howard Schultz took the stage at his last Starbucks investor day as the company’s chief executive, a highlight reel began to play. In theory, they’re a destination, and that’s a distinction Schultz believes is critical in a country that he and other industry executives have said is “over-retailed” – meaning there are too many stores.
Schultz vowed he will play in a continuing role as executive chairman. This year, the coffee company has begun tailoring offerings to customers through its app that are based on past purchases and preferences.
Cold beverages like iced espresso drinks, cold brew coffee and iced tea “will all play a significant role”, and cold drinks will make up 50% of all drink sales in 2021, he said. “We know what we are doing and we’ve got a clear plan to go do it”, Johnson told Cramer about the company’s five-year plan. Alongside focus on those offerings, Johnson explained the company looks to capitalize on the busy lunch rush with new, fresh and healthy food offerings, which he hopes will drive 21% of food sales over the next five years. The company is also expanding its mobile payment options. That attitude was what inspired to him to build Starbucks from the ground up into a global empire, and it’s allowed him to see the store through the customer’s eyes, obsessing over things like eye contact with the barista and the aroma inside the store.
The holiday season didn’t just ring in the news about the return of Starbucks’ famed (and controversial) red cups. That’s twice as much as the average Starbucks location, and would make the Reserve chain the second most profitable restaurant chain by average sales per unit in the USA, trailing only Chick-fil-A at $4 million. I’m here; here to support [incoming CEO] Kevin Johnson, to support the team. Starbucks later successfully replicated it in the US -and took the brand global. Company’s annual sales growth for the past five year was -2.70%. In Shanghai, visitors will be able to purchase artisanal bakery items and sit at a Teavana bar.

That mindset might also explain why the company is moving forward with plans to open standalone stores in the US of an Italian bakery called Princi.
