Starbucks working on plan to let Lyft drivers, riders earn rewards points
The partnership will also allow My Starbucks Rewards loyalty members the opportunity to earn Stars and redeem them for food and beverages at Starbucks.

A selection of the day’s top news stories as well as social, political and economic articles recommended by Starbucks will be delivered to the 10 million My Starbucks Rewards loyalty members. Users can now earn points just for catching a Lyft ride, and all drivers will get Starbucks Gold status.
Since 1971, Starbucks Coffee Company has been committed to ethically sourcing and roasting high-quality arabica coffee.
John Zimmer, co-founder and president of the San Francisco-based Lyft, predicted the partnership will help build the growing company’s brand. The rewards points can be used to purchase food and beverages at Starbucks. For instance, it is doubtful that Starbucks makes much money off of newspaper sales, and most customers now come to the store with their mobile device or laptop, so it is possible that Starbucks might be dumping its racks.
