Stars React to Nominations for the 2016 Grammy Awards

Nominated for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album, the 34-year-old singer, who was introduced to the Grammy world with his first nomination a decade ago, does share tough, but legendary company, including fellow nominees Barry Manilow, Bob Dylan and Tony Bennett.

Up for Best Dance/Electronic Album are Jamie xx, Caribou, Chemical Brothers, Disclosure, and Skrillex & Diplo.

Now let’s hope they bring them home! Therefore, her album wasn’t eligible for the 2015 Grammy awards, and she had to be considered for the 2016 ceremony. Predictably Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift are all over the nominations like pop-singing flannels, with D’Angelo and Mark Ronson also making appearances.

Drake, nominated in separate categories for “Energy” and “Back to Back”, seems to have split the vote song-wise. The 2015 Album of the Year nominees include Alabama Shakes (Sound and Color), Kendrick Lamar (To Pimp a Butterfly), Chris Stapleton (Traveller), Taylor Swift (1989) and The Weeknd (Beauty Behind the Madness).

The Grammy Awards will be take place on Monday, February 15th and will be broadcast live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
