During his monthly radio address “Mann Ki Baat“, the prime minister said: “Through “Narendra Modi Mobile App” we can connect with each other. Wherever there are youth, they will be linked through live connectivity”, he said.
The Prime Minister said it was wrong to assume that the assets of knowledge are confined to some cities only and added that youth with capabilities are spread all over the country.
He also stressed on the need of keeping Kashmir issue on top in the agenda for bilateral dialogues and said without resolution of Kashmir dispute in accordance with aspirations of Kashmiri people and United Nations resolution, no talks can succeed and dreams of restoration of peace and stability in the region could not be materialized.
Modi flagrantly broke with diplomatic protocol to pay a surprise birthday visit to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, betting his personal brand on his ability to revive a troubled relationship.
He said they are endowed with an ability which is divine.
He also spoke about how the direct benefit transfer scheme is helping people.
“It gives me vast pleasure to announce that the Direct Benefit Transfer Scheme has recently found a place in the Guinness Book of World Records and it has been implemented successfully”, he said.
The Prime Minister also invited suggestions for how the message of the Constitution can be spread. He said there was much discussion of rights enshrined in the constitution but not as much of duties.
Modi also asked the general public to express its views on duties to share them on “mygov.in” portal, so that he could learn what people think.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has, since the very beginning, been very keen on developing an entrepreneurial culture in the country.
The address by the Prime Minister lasted just about 20 minutes in which he greeted the country for the festive season and said that the government will design the Start-Up India programme according to the needs of the country.
He also sought ideas from the youth about the “National Youth Festival” that will commence on January 12, marking the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
“We must ensure cleanliness at tourist places”, Modi said citing a letter by Ganesh V. Sawaleshwarkar from Pune.
