Though it was only a cheeky tease, Microsoft’s barrage of games announcements and game-play segments have breezed by, only to reveal this successor to the State of Decay series.
As is tradition, you’ll venture into a zombie-infested, multiplayer world, tasked with ensuring your own survival and “exploring your own unique story in a world that remembers the choices you make”. We’ve yet to know more about the upcoming title but the cinematic trailer showed off some features that might get included in the game.
State of Decay 2’s settlement-building tools are noticeably improved.
Coming to Xbox One and Windows 10 next year, the Unreal Engine 4-powered State of Decay 2 promises to blend open-world exploration, third-person action, and survival-fantasy role playing.
Further details are light on the ground at the moment, with the developer promising more details as the 2017 release window draws closer.
