State’s top prosecutor to discuss charges against her
Former Dunmore police Chief Patrick Reese was arraigned at a brief hearing Tuesday on charges he illegally accessed emails to gain information on a grand jury investigation into state Attorney General Kathleen Kane. Kane could remain attorney general during the 10 days she would have to fight a suspension.

Kane has said through her lawyer that she did nothing wrong.
Kane apparently used Reese to spy on the email of all office employees.
He faces up to six months in jail if convicted.
Through her spokesman, she has said doesn’t plan to resign. His attorney, William Fetterhoff, entered a not guilty plea on Reese’s behalf.
Prosecutors said Reese has refused to cooperate with them. She hasn’t personally commented on the charges, including one felony count of perjury. Prosecutors alleged she orchestrated the leak of the 2009 grand jury probe to a Philadelphia newspaper in 2014 to strike back at a former prosecutor she believed had embarrassed her. She also pleaded not guilty. She has denied any wrongdoing and has refused calls to step down, including from Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf. Kane plans to address the charges, and take questions from reporters. Political activist Gene Stilp filed a court petition to revoke her law license with the state Supreme Court’s Judicial Conduct Board.
