Steelers claim altercation between coach and fan never happened

The Pittsburgh Steelers have determined that tight ends coach James Daniel was not involved in a physical altercation with a New England Patriots fan on Thursday night.

National Football League spokesman Michael Signora said in a statement late Friday afternoon that the audio interference was “entirely attributable to an electrical issue made worse by the inclement weather”. “It doesn’t take many times for that to occur before you get an unfavorable performance”. “I don’t anticipate any of that being a real issue at this point, but we’ll have a practice participation report tomorrow that will provide more clarity in that area”.

That sound you just heard was a disgruntled – to some degree – player firing a salvo through the media at the coaching staff and making his true feelings known.

Pittsburgh cornerback Brandon Boykin, shown talking with special teams coach Danny Smith during training camp, didn’t play a single down for the Steelers in their season-opening loss to New England last week.

Mark Kaboly, who covers the team for the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review tweeted: “Boykin said he has no idea why he isn’t playing“. Truth is, I’m happy Brady won his appeal, and it was clear that he and many Patriot fans saw it as a victory. Brady said he thinks the Patriots’ Week Two game at Buffalo will make the Patriots’ offensive communication tougher.

Roethlisberger’s comments mirror those of Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, who said the team encountered the problem for “the majority of the first half”.

The National Football League said it provides teams’ communications equipment ” including coaches’ headsets ” used during games. Of course, it helps that Brady gets ride of the ball so fast, but its not like that is something he has had to start doing recently. However, the Steelers must play the team that beat Seattle, St. Louis, in the third game of the season on the road so maybe that result is at least a wash.

“We’ve liked some of the things we’ve seen from both guys, but there also has been some inconsistency from both guys”, said Tomlin about the Blake/Cortez Allen situation.

There were definitely some plays that the Steelers gave away; look no further than Gronkowski’s 52-yard reception in the fourth quarter, when the big tight end went streaking down the seam with not one pair of yellow game pants even trying to run with him.

“The system that we’re using, it’s my understanding that it’s going to be replaced”. “It’s a conversation I’ll have if it continues down this route”, Boykin said. You know, it’s just Week 1, and it’ll kind of play out as we go along this week and the rest of the week.
