Steelers Have Scored In Franchise-Best 21 Consecutive Quarters
-COACHING: B-minus. The Jets came out flat and sloppy against a sub-standard opponent, but credit to head coach Todd Bowles for figuring out a way to reverse the trend at halftime.

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ rousing 34-27 win over the AFC West-leading Denver Broncos on Sunday was a microcosm of the tumultuous season that they have somehow managed to turn around in the last three weeks.
“Those other games are really out of our control and it seems like through experience, if you’re rooting for one team one week then the next week you’re rooting for somebody else, ” he said. Not so fast. Say the New York Jets beat the New England Patriots this Sunday in their week 16 game at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Outlook: Denver already lost to Pittsburgh on Sunday. Pittsburgh’s comeback win was a hit, but the consolation was that it dropped Denver’s lead in the AFC West and over the Wild Card competitors to a single game.
“All I can worry about is us”, Bowles said. “Maybe a third down call or two, but we just played markedly better in the second half, from a details standpoint”. “We’re on our way just getting better each week”. At 10-4, the Broncos have lost two games in a row, played horribly in the second half for the past three weeks but also have played significant time without both their starting safeties as well as a certain future Hall of Fame quarterback.
“I play to win, ” Brady said Monday during his weekly radio appearance on WEEI. “We don’t control our own destiny”. The Jets surrendered just 195 passing yards on 33 attempts, but Revis and CB Antonio Cromartie looked bad on the final two plays of the Cowboys’ lone touchdown drive. If the Jets lose to the Patriots and the Steelers, Chiefs and Broncos all win this week, Gang Green would be eliminated.
Even without Roethlisberger, the Steelers were expected to take the Ravens’ lunch money and improve to 3-1 in a Week 4 game at Heinz Field.
That leaves the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Jets fighting for the final wild-card spot, now held by Pittsburgh because of the tie breaker of winning percentage in common games.
But now the Jets are hot, on a four-game winning streak, and fighting for an AFC wild card spot.
First things first, of course.
Next up for the Jets is a home game against New England, which edged NY 30-23 in October. If the Chiefs lose and the Broncos win next week, the Broncos would clinch the AFC West.
The Patriots (11-2) no longer are undefeated, but Brady still is “a great quarterback”, Bowles noted. “It’s just about the position we’re in as far as giving ourselves a chance to make the postseason. We’ve got to get off the field fast and give the ball back to our offense'”. “It doesn’t matter who we’re playing this week, it would be an important game”.
The bloody gash on the bridge of Ryan Fitzpatrick’s nose summed up the New York Jets’ win in Dallas. A lot of guys who are not household names are stepping up and making plays for us. “We have executed when needed”, Pace said. Jets defensive lineman Stephen Bowen believes that Wilkerson is better than even Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt.

With their playoff hopes on the line, Bowles has not given any indication that he’s feeling any pressure.
