Steelers’ LB Harrison speaks about PED probe
“If it leads to the hands of that crook, I mean Roger Goodell, he can do whatever he wants”, Harrison said Thursday night after the Steelers’ 17-0 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in preseason play.

Harrison said he isnt interested.
In the letter, McPhee says that Harrison has asked the league one simple question, and he has yet to receive an answer.
Harrison is willing to talk the league but has some conditions for the interview. “So, it was easier just to do the interview, I guess”. But the National Football League said last month it has closed its investigation of the now-retired QB, adding he fully cooperated with the proceedings. His suspension begins next month. The league had warned the players in a letter they would be suspended by August 26 if they did not agree to meet with investigators. She also said Harrison wants to “end this witch hunt and distraction to his team”. He extended his invitation again on Tuesday. “I wouldn’t have a problem with (the interview) being filmed, live”. Come to my house. “Bring Roger with you”.
“They’re asking me about PEDs, so ask away”, Harrison said.
“We have nobody to blame but ourselves”, Rodgers said of the possible suspensions. This is between him and the (NFLPA) and the league. “I assume that he is going to do what he needs to do”.
The 14-year veteran said his only motivation for meeting with the commissioner is that his suspension would hurt the Steelers.
Matthews and Peppers did not talk with reporters on Tuesday. “This is no different in this case”, said Thompson. Youd rather have those players than not. We stand behind them 100%, our guys.
Three NFL players have agreed to meet NFL investigators regarding performance-enhancing drug allegations stemming from a December report by Al Jazeera America.
But Harrison doesn’t respect the way the situation is being handled and the NFL Players Association contends there is a lack of evidence because key source Charlie Sly recanted his statements to the media outlet.
Harrison earned NFL Defensive Player of the Year honors with the Steelers in 2008, becoming the first undrafted player to win the award. Earlier, the NFLPA had issued statements to the league on behalf of the players. And if it wants to include Al Jazeera’s report in the “not limited to” category, well hell, fellas, you already deemed it not credible in exonerating Peyton Manning. That’s why, according to ESPN, James Harrison, Clay Matthews, and Julius Peppers have all agreed to give the interviews.
Birch cited Article 46 of the CBA in noting the discipline that can come for noncooperation or obstruction.

We can not accept your unilateral assertion that the cursory, untested statements you have submitted satisfy the players obligation, Birch wrote. When asked why not get the interview over with, Harrison was blunt in his response.
