Steelers Receiver ‘Rehabbing Around The Clock’ Ahead Of Browns Game

Unfortunately for Buffalo, they lost Shady McCoy to what looked like a serious ankle injury, meaning they’re going into Jacksonville next week severely outmanned.

The Steelers held on to beat the Browns 28-24 to make the Browns the second 0-16 team in National Football League history. “This is going to be next to my name for the rest of my life”.

At some time part of the responsibility has to fall on the shoulders of the head coach.

Haslam said when he met with Dorsey about the general manager’s job (Dorsey was hired the same day Brown was sacked as executive vice president of football operations), he told Dorsey that Jackson would be the head coach.

The Pittsburgh Steelers closed out their 2017 regular season with a home win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday and it sounds like they only had one player injured during the contest, according to head coach Mike Tomlin.

“The standards I set for myself are higher than this – higher than (reporters), higher than the coaches, higher than Mr. Haslam and Mr. Dorsey”, Kizer said. “A awful thing to be a part of”.

“In general, being 0-16, the stigma that comes with that is that we’re going to have to do some recruiting everywhere”, Jackson said, via Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. It will be just taking the hits off my body. This team has never not given me effort, they’ve never not worked. The Browns had won a week earlier for their only win of the 2016 season.

“I think it’s bugged probably everyone in this locker room, ” he said. We didn’t finish. We’ll wear it until we can take it off, but we’ll take it off soon.

He added: “I don’t think it’s fair on any National Football League team to be in this situation”.

The interception Kizer threw was his 22nd of the season. “If that is the case, I’ll prepare myself and make sure I am ready to go mentally and physically”.

A 51-yard field goal by Zane Gonzalez of the Browns cut the lead to 28-24 with 2:04 left in the third quarter.

Cleveland fans are beyond frustrated. Top quarterback Josh Rosen has not-so-subtly suggested he’d rather not play for the Browns, and last fall reports emerged that USC product Sam Darnold was thinking along the same lines.

But things will get better for the Browns before they get worse, right?

“Get to winning”, he said.

As has been the case this year, the Steelers’ biggest issues were giving up the big plays and poor tackling. As a lifelong fan, I really shouldn’t be surprised. I’m not walking out on these players or this organization. For that, I apologize.

Dorsey will be armed with up to $100 million in salary cap space to overhaul the Browns, who have recorded 15 double-digit loss seasons since 1999 and are 4-44 over the past three years and 20-76 since Haslam agreed to buy them in 2012. “Often times, that happens all around us, guys showing class in a lot of ways, but for whatever reason in today’s sports society, we spend a lot of time talking about negativity”.

“I’m thankful we got the win, but we got to bury a team like that man”, Mitchell said. We will do that.

In an era where head coaches can be gone as quick as one temper tantrum by an owner, Haslam’s faith in Jackson is unusual. “I truly believe that”. We’re 0-16. I know about the parade and everything that’s going to be said. I get that. I think the only way we change the things that are said is to get to winning.

“I get that. I do understand our fans’ thought process that way, and I do understand the tremendous amount of pressure it puts you under trying to answer that”.
