Restaurant workers on social media called out Williams for not tipping his waitress recently at Ledo Restaurant in Maryland, TMZ reports.
But then Williams replied for all of his 235,000 followers to see detailing how the waitress’ service was awful.
Pittsburgh Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams is defending his 75-cent tip to a server at a Maryland pizzeria.
The server took exception to Williams leaving a 75-cent tip and blasted him on social media. So there you go Steelers fans, your running back is cheap as s**t!
So the staff made a decision to shame him on Facebook, branding National Football League player DeAngelo Williams as “cheap as s***”.
The story usually ends there, with a celebrity possessing more than 230,000 followers not even noticing the small dent in his mentions. He says he waited for an hour and a half for his food and his order was wrong.
“Dude we go through this all the time but I refuse to break for the pressures of my wages and entitle people”, Williams said in one tweet. The manager fired the employee for her actions, and Williams seems pretty damned confident that he’s in the right here. (Also), I ordered chicken and shrimp in my pasta they put it on my salad.
When he pointed out the mistake, “They took it back and removed it from salad and put It in my pasta leaving a shrimp tail in the salad”.
“I use to wait tables and use to be a bag boy so I know what I’m doing here”.
Well, her boss now knows.
Marcos said they understand and support Williams’ decision as well.
Another server defended Williams, saying he always tips well when he comes to eat at her restaurant.
