Stefon Diggs expected to start for Vikings vs. Lions
In two games, Diggs has gone from regular inactive to potential starter – in fantasy as well as reality.

He began his day Sunday against the Lions with five catches for 92 yards and a touchdown. They are: Defensive end Everson Griffen (illness), running back Adrian Peterson (finger), cornerback Terence Newman (ankle), offensive tackle T.J. Clemmings (knee), running back Matt Asiata (rib), receiver Charles Johnson (rib), receiver Jarius Wright (hand) and cornerback Captain Munnerlyn (thumb). It was the third time this season that the Vikings offense has been unable to produce more than 20 points in a game. “He knows how to get open – and he knows how to catch the ball”. I’m not usually high on rookie wide receivers, but right now there isn’t a player more important to pick up if you’re in search of a flex option or a wide receiver two. Rookie Danielle Hunter started in his place, and finished with four tackles, a quarterback hit and half a sack (shared with Sharrif Floyd). And that’s a direct result of how well Diggs has played in his absence. “I’m going to slow that down, he’s got a lot of work to do”. “And for a receiver, when you get to the top of your route, being able to stick your foot in the ground and accelerate from Point A to Point B, from zero to 10, it makes a big difference”.
The Vikings beat the Chiefs this past week 16-10 in a game in which defenses were the storyline of the game. He’s going to be a real good player. But I have faith that he will.

The Vikings may be sending a few mixed messages. He plans to return on Sunday in Detroit. Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson combine to give the Lions a fearsome passing attack, but they are dead last in the National Football League in rushing and have a porous defense.
